The Knead Community Café located in downtown New Kensington is committed to serving healthy dining options using fresh, local, and minimally processed ingredients as much as possible. St. Mary's Church Soup-er Sundays Winter Fundraiser
St. Mary of Czestochowa Soup-er Sundays Fundraiser is back for 2026! Hearty, homemade soups will be available for purchase after ALL Sunday Masses.
Flavores for Sunday, March 29 are:

Creamy Potato
Cost is $10/quart and may be picked up in Friendship Hall after all Masses.

Tenebrae Service
Palm Sunday

St. Mary of Czestochowa
All are welcome to join the choirs of St. Mary of Czestochowa and St. Joseph for a Palm Sunday Tenebrae service beginning at 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 29.
Tenebrae is the Latin word for darkness. It is characterized by increasing darkness by gradually extinguishing candles to symbolize the coming darkness of Jesus’ death.
All are welcome to come experience this powerful and prayerful service.

The St. Anthony Novena will be recited nine consecutive Tuesdays beginning Tuesday, April 14 through and including Tuesday, June 9 after the 7:00 PM Mass** at Mount Saint Peter Parish.
** Please note: During the nine weeks of the Novena, the Tuesday 8:30 AM Mass will be discontinued and moved to 7:00 PM. Once the Novena has concluded, the 8:30 AM Mass will recommence on Tuesday, June 16.
Traditional prayers will be said. All are welcome form the NKCC and surrounding areas as we unite in prayer for the individual, community, and global needs seeking the intercession of St. Anthony to our heavenly Father. Bread distribution and a reception are planned for Tuesday, June 17.

Participants in St. Mary of Czestochowa's bingo get 24 regular bingo cards for $12, paid for at the door. Extra cards are 50 cents each. All regular bingos are 50/50 split. Final game is $1 per card and winner take all (players must have played at least 10 games to be eligible to play the final game).
All players must be 18 years of age or older to play.
Lunch is available for $6 and includes dessert and drink. Additional drinks available for 50 cents each.

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults)
Are you or someone you know interested in becoming Catholic?
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is the process through which those who are not baptized are able to become members of the Catholic Church and baptized Christians can receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Holy Communion and Confirmation).
This process includes times of study, prayer, and Rites that take place at Mass. Formation sessions will begin in mid-September.
